Read on for the types of sessions offered and some great tips to ensure we have a happy baby on the day of the session. All sessions can be done in your home at no additional charge or in studio in Bradenton, pending availability.
signature Smash & Splash
This session is for your one year old, and is 3 sets – First, formal portraits which can include family photos, the cake smashing portion, and finally a splash in the prop tub.Â
signature Paint Smash
This session is perfect for 2-5 year-olds, and like the Smash and Splash consists of 3 sets – formal portraits, the cake smash, and a personalized painting craft.
Petite Milestone session
This session is perfect if you’d love classic formal portraits of your baby for their 6, 9, or 12 month milestones. Multiples also welcome.
My fun signature session is 3 setups, and takes place in your home (space permitting), or in-studio in Bradenton. This session is made up of a formal posed portrait session of your sweet little nugget as they reach their first birthday. Once the formal shots are out of the way, we’ll present baby with a cake they can smash into. Following the cake smash, we’ll have baby take a bubble bath in a prop tub. As with every session type I offer, the session and portrait options are fully customizable.

Many parents often don’t offer their babies sweets or cake before their first birthday. For this reason, babies may not be exactly thrilled about touching the cake with their hands. Or getting frosting on themselves, or even actually eating it for that matter. To avoid surprising the baby with this expectation, I suggest allowing baby to experience cupcakes before hand. Preferably on the floor, since they will be smashing the cake on the floor. This will especially help sensitive kiddos, and make for a more pleasant and fun time on session day! (cake substitutions welcome).
My style for these session is generally minimalist, as I really like for baby to be the star. The session is all about the baby after-all. Timeless classic images will let your baby shine.
If you wish to provide your own cake, please keep in mind, only a 6″ cake is needed. Any bigger is overwhelming. Check out the link to my Pinterest feed below for cake inspiration! Black or red frosting will typically not photograph well. Same goes for chocolate cake. It might be tempting to select an extravagant cake with fondant frosting, but it may be difficult for baby to get through the fondant, so buttercream or even whipped frosting is best. I’ll work with you to expertly select a cake you find aesthetically pleasing that baby can smash into. There is no need to refrigerate a buttercream cake.
The bubble bath (if included in your session) will be in a prop tub, so baby will still need to be bathed.Â
