Wondering what to expect when booking with us?
first things first
You’ll choose your desired date for your portrait session & we’ll get together for an in-home style and concept consultation. This can be done by zoom as well.
Design Consultation
Upon booking, I’ll send a welcome guide that will have any info you need in one place. Once you’ve had a chance to look it over and get an idea of the products and collections that are available, we’ll have a quick call to finalize the details of your session and select your collection or a la carte items. For in-home newborn sessions, at this point, I will need some information about the location I’ll be setting up in your home to plan accordingly. This can take place over zoom/facetime/messenger or your home if local, and tends to be pretty brief since so much is covered in the guide, but please ask away if I missed something.

Portrait selection and payment
After the session, you’ll be given a viewing and ordering appointment to choose your photos and portrait package.
While some images are included with your booking fee and you’re welcome to book a session with no additional photos, you can also upgrade your photo package at anytime until your ordering appointment, and even enjoy some complimentary bonus items when you prepay for collections.
You’ll have a few options for payment, such as my in-house interest-free automatic payment plan leading up to your session (with automated incremental payments for up to 6 months). I also offer PayPal credit, which allows you to make interest free purchases for 6 months upon approval by them (please check with PayPal for their terms). And of course, I accept all major credit cards and cash.
Retouching • Viewing • selecting
During our video call or in person viewing if you’re local, I’ll show you an album design that you can approve or we can make changes while we chat, and wall art, shown to scale on your very own walls. For petite sessions, portraits are shown un-retouched, usually right after the portrait session and selections are made at that time. Signature sessions will get a light retouch with a couple of examples of a full retouch for the selection process.
Product pickup
Your photos are an investment and an heirloom that should not be rushed. Please allow up to 6 weeks for your order to be completed. Please expect a slight delay with albums from mid-fall through the holiday season. If you’re local, I’ll reach out as soon as everything is available for pickup. Otherwise, your portraits will be shipped to you. If digitals are included in your package, they will be delivered in an online gallery 3 weeks after your selection appointment.
